The Type D coupler is ordinarily used with a Type A adapter. However, this Type D coupler can be used with a type E or Type F adapter as well as a DP (Dust Plug) of matching size.

• ● The Plastic Type D Female Coupler is a Female Cam and Groove x Female NPT Thread.
• Uses:
• ● Used to install a Female Coupler into a Male Thread.
• ● Used to connect with a Male Adapter of the same size.
• What it connects to:
• ● The coupler portion will couple with a Male Adapter.
• ● The threaded portion will connect to a Male NPT Thread.
• Compatibility:
• ● Recommended to be used with other Polypropylene, Plastic, PVC and Banjo Camlocks.
• ● Generally not used with other metal fittings, although they will couple.
• ● Metal Male Threads can damage plastic fittings, since they expand the fitting from the inside.
• ● Metal Female Threads are more suitable to use, since they wont crack plastic fittings.
• Installation:
• ● Thread the Female NPT portion of the plastic pipe fitting onto a Male NPT Thread.
• ● Then Slide the Type D Coupler onto a Male Adapter and close the two cam lever arms.
• ● For a quick disconnect, open the cam handles and remove the adapter.
