- Description: Female QD x Male NPT Thread Homebrew Quick Disconnect
- Advantages: They can quickly connect and disconnect in a matter of seconds, even with one hand given enough practice!
- Installation: This Female Stainless Steel Quick Connect has a Male NPT thread so it will thread into any 1/2" Female NPT threaded end. Usually the Female QD portion is installed onto portable or movable brewery parts, because while the male QD portion is exposed, the female QD portion's internal parts are protected and it is therefore more durable when moving around!
- Common uses: Used whenever a female NPT needs to be connected to your QD system, for example Street elbows and elbows. Often used in with a High Flow Street Elbow and then installed into hose ends that connect to brew vessels. This elbow prevents the kink that would occur in the tubing had a standard hose barb be used, and it provides a wider ID for a higher flow rate. They will couple with all the Male QD's listed on the previous page including: Male QD x Hose Barb; Male QD x 3/8" Hose Barb; Male QD x MNPT and Male QD x FNPT.
