- Description: Male QD x Female NPT Homebrew Camlocks
- Advantages: Also called Cam and Groove QD's, they are Ideal for Brewing due to their low cost and Wide Internal Diameter (ID).
- Installation: Typically the Type A Male Cam Lock Quick Connects are used on fixed, non-mobile brewery equipment that has a Male NPT Thread. (For eg. a Plate Chiller)
- Common uses: Almost always used in home brew systems on Plate Chillers to connect to the wort inlet and outlet ports. Widely used on the ends of Brew Pumps, like the Chugger and March pumps since they have Male threads, and can be used on any fitting that ends in a Male NPT. Another application for these 1/2" Type-A Stainless Steel Camlocks in is the inlet and outlet ports for recirculation systems like a Herms coil and simalar Brew Hardware.
